At the back of Patresi is the highest mountain of the Island of Elba, Mount Capanne (1019mt above sea level); with many hiking options all around the Massif of Mount Capanne, with spectacular views. Exhilarating is also the intense scent of the surrounding Mediterranean vegetation: rosemary, broom, heather and cistus which climb up the granite masses of the Capanne which are characteristic of the western side of the island.
We also would like to remind you that it is possible to reach the peak of the mount, using the cableway (open from Easter until October) which is half way between Poggio and Marciana.The Hotel Belmare, in collaboration with the environmental guides of Pelagos Guide Ambientali, offers 6 days or 3 days (week-end) hiking trips around the Island of Elba.
